The primary function of the Assessment Office is the discovery, listing and valuation of property for tax purposes.
The Assessor's Office maintains two property record cards for each parcel of property in the County and a set of tax maps for each municipality showing location of these properties.
The office is also required to prepare a list of all residents over the age of 18 for per capita tax purposes.
